Some light on HistoryĪn ISO was founded and officially began its operations in February 1947. No sector left untouched rather every industry, technology, food safety, agriculture, and healthcare is covered by ISO. More than 19500 international standards are published by ISO. ISO mainly provides the world-class specification for products/services as well as systems to ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency. With parallel to this, there are 165 member countries around the world as its national standard bodies. The headquarter of it is at Geneva in Switzerland and official languages are English, French, and Russian. ISO is considered the world’s largest developer of voluntary international standards. ISO registration provides a standard for various products and services which are accepted worldwide and provide an assurance that these products and services are safe, reliable and of good quality. It is an independent, non-governmental, non-profitable, worldwide federation of national standards bodies that can develop and publishes international standards. The ISO full form is International Organization for Standardization.
